Less than a High School Diploma
One of the most common questions that we always get is what major or degree do I need to become Actors or what courses do I need to take.
We also asked Actors what did they major in college or university and here are the top 5 most popular majors that came up.
Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts
Acting
Directing and Theatrical Production
Musical Theatre
Dramatic or Theatre Arts and Stagecraft
Many actors enhance their skills through formal dramatic education. Many who specialize in theater have bachelor’s degrees, although a degree is not required. A bachelor’s degree in theater is becoming more common among stage actors.
