Catering Sales Manager – Estee Gordon
I am a Catering Sales Manager with Constellation Culinary Group with The New York Botanical Garden.
A typical day for me is speaking to booked clients helping to plan their wedding day – scheduling tastings for their wedding, speaking to their wedding planner coordinating timelines, rentals, giving suggestions on vendors, updating floorplans. When I’m not discussing wedding planning with a current client, I am working to book new business, showing new clients the grounds of the venue, discussing all the ways I can make their day special. I show event planners the venue I work for and how it’s a great space for their clients, I negotiate contracts based on date availability.
Pros: I get to be a part of the best day in a couple’s lives. I’m executing the happiest moments, I am getting them down the aisle to say “I do” to the love of their lives. I am a staple in a couple’s love story, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Cons: While I am a part of milestones in my clients’ lives, I sometimes sacrifice holidays and milestone moments within my own personal life, however, it’s a part of the job and I’m fortunate to do a job I love everyday.
